Because of the large number of emails and interest in our products/services, we would like to briefly explain below the whole procedure of how the prepaid water meters will work and our role in managing it going forward.

Some of you have asked if we do provide plumbing services and we don't, but we can assist telephonically with the installation of the meters as well as with the vending, tariffs and collection of monies generated by sales of the water prepaid meters.

​

Vouchers can be purchased by tenants from selected retail outlets/ATMs nationwide. Funds generated by vouchers purchased are then reimbursed to the Owner/Landlord. Reimbursed funds are then used to pay the municipal account by the Owner/Landlord. Any surplus generated by meter sales is for the Owner/Landlord to use. Reimbursement of funds will be paid over to the Owner/Landlord on or before the 10th day of each month with a detailed report displaying all transactions.

 

A service fee of 10% including VAT is levied on vouchers purchased made via retail outlets & at ATMs. But it can also be levied at the end of the month at the Owner/Landlord side. Meaning the Owner/Landlord will pay the 10% service fee and not the Tenant (End-user). It is up to the Owner/Landlord to decide how it should be implemented.

•    You are paying only for the water you use and not your neighbor’s laundry, car wash, toilet leaks, or excessive water use. Water prepaid meters eliminate the residential water costs from the monthly homeowner’s levy's which in turn can help to keep the levy's low and improves property values. 

•    When residents are accountable for their own water usage, they will conserve and save. 

•    Our water prepaid meters can detect costly leaks. The user interface unit (UIU) will show you how many liters you have left. If 0 liters are displayed on the UIU the valve in the meter will close, slowing the flow of the water by a drastic amount.
