LoRaWAN Devices
LoRaWAN is the long-range, low-power wireless standard for connecting hundreds of meters and sensors across estates, campuses, and municipalities — battery-powered devices reporting for years through a handful of gateways.
Key Features
-
Range measured in kilometres, indoors and out
-
Battery-powered devices lasting 5–10 years
-
One gateway serves hundreds of devices
-
Water, electricity, and sensor devices available
-
Private networks or national LoRaWAN coverage
Applications
Estate and complex-wide water metering, municipal smart metering, agricultural sensing, and large-site monitoring where cabling and Wi-Fi can't reach.
How to Choose
Start with gateway placement — high and central beats many low gateways. Match devices to your network server platform, and plan device addressing and keys upfront. For a handful of devices a single indoor gateway is enough; estates need a small RF plan.
